At Anchorage Park School, we pride ourselves on knowing the whole child - as a learner AND a person. We believe in nurturing individual strengths, interests and passions. Each term, we offer lunchtime clubs which encourage students to explore their interests and passions and give things a go. The lunchtime clubs are open to all students from Years 1-6.
For all things sporty, Anchorage Park School offers a wide range of sporting opportunities including touch, netball, soccer, cross country, swimming, the list goes on! We also align with Sport Auckland to maximise our learning opportunities in sport and recreation.
We have a wonderful Kapa haka group. We explore whanaungatanga, the importance of people and connectedness including waiata, haka, te reo and tikanga. Tihei mauri ora!
The library is open every Monday and Friday to snuggle up and read a good book or play board and card games, including chess.
We are a silver enviro school so this group inspires the new generation of eco-warriors. The group plant, grow, rake, dig, and get their hands dirty.
This club is for people who love to make, create and express themselves with their imagination and design skills. Art and crafts are a fantastic creative outlet for those who love to cut, paint, glue and sew.
We have a choir for students who love to sing. This is where we come together and sing some of our favourite songs and learn some new ones. We look for multiple opportunities for the choir to show off their talents and perform at any given opportunity.
Our dance group is full of fun dance routines. We rehearse dance moves and look for opportunities to share our love of dance with others.
