SWiS social workers are employed by NGOs, not the school, but they work in partnership with school kaimahi as part of the school community. They collaborate with the whānau and schools to develop plans to improve children's safety, wellbeing and educational outcomes. This whānau involvement is also vital to achieving long term successful outcomes.

Referrals need the consent of the parent or primary caregiver and can be made by: the tamariki, whānau themselves, the school, community or government agencies.

Ana comes to our school on Thursdays.
